Play by ear  <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The TU – Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de l’Usine is developing a home-made assistive listening service and\/or creative audio description. It also offers training for the artists of the season so that they can incorporate accessibility measures into their artistic production. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Geneva Opera House has been working on improving accessibility for several years. However, there are not enough people available in the region to carry out measures to improve the accessibility of content for people with sensory impairments. The theatre is now developing this in-house solution to this problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The idea of the assistive listening service and creative audio description came about during its collaboration with the British Quiplash collective<\/a>. Quiplash, a UK-based duo of queer and disabled coaches\/artists\/producers, and C\u00e9line Witschard, founder of the Geneva-based association Vision Positive, are accompanying the Play by Ear project as experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
