(Working title)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The network event \u00abm2act x Burning Issues\u00bb in Bern in September 2023 showcased the sheer number of initiatives and networks in Switzerland working for a non-discriminatory, gender-equitable, more diverse and more inclusive theatre industry. They develop promising, progressive ideas and working methods in various constellations and contexts, each with a specific focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is often a lack of exchange between the initiatives. As a result, committed individuals work on similar ideas and instruments simultaneously but without any mutual coordination. Furthermore, many people are involved in these initiatives on a voluntary basis while they themselves are affected by discriminatory structures and operate from a precarious position. Calls for greater coordination and exchange emerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently under development, the Fair Practice Coordination Office aims to remedy the issue by establishing an open, decentralised network for interested initiatives and stakeholders in Switzerland who are committed to fair practice in the performing arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This network helps the various stakeholders coordinate their activities and topics. It facilitates synergies, specialisations and agreements. Knowledge and best practices can be shared. Coordination meetings should be held every six months (one annual online meeting and, where possible, one in-person meeting), each with a different host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Core<\/span> group<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>core<\/span> group<\/span> setting<\/span> up<\/span> the<\/span> coordination<\/span> office<\/span> consists<\/span> of<\/span> members<\/span> of<\/span> t. Theaterschaffen\u202fSchweiz, FAIRSPEC,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (ICFG), University of Bern<\/span><\/span>\u00a0and Migros\u202fCulture\u202f<\/span>Percentage<\/span> m2act. <\/span>The <\/span>aim<\/span> is<\/span> to<\/span> dissolve<\/span> the<\/span> core<\/span> group<\/span> after<\/span> the<\/span> first<\/span> coordination<\/span> office<\/span> meeting<\/span>, <\/span>as<\/span> further<\/span> meetings<\/span> can<\/span> be<\/span> organised<\/span> independently<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n\n
